Virtual Reality in Visual Stimulation and Its Effect on the Brain Mirror System
This study focuses on how visual stimulations are prioritized in the brain to promote learning movements.
Initially, participants view a few simple karate moves, and different demonstrative methods (live viewing, video playback, virtual reality viewing) are compared by recording the electrical signals in the participants' brains. Examining and interpreting the Mu rhythm is the basis of the comparison. Virtual reality is better than video (2D) due to the virtual immersion in the educational environment. If proven, this can help people in need of training and rehabilitation be trained in different environments without a therapist or a human trainer.
