Osteoarthritis Treatment using a Physical Video Game and Leap Motion Sensor
Osteoarthritis is caused by erosion and damage of the articular surface, which leads to deformity, pain, and movement restriction in the joints.
In this project, video games were designed which are controlled by user’s hand gestures (including claw opening/closing, changing in hand angles, etc.), detected by a Leap Motion Sensor. Playing these games is equal to rehabilitation exercises prescribed by occupational therapists.
