Pain Control in Burn Patients using a Virtual Reality Video Game

Replacing the burning patients’ dressings is severely painful, especially for children.

The virtual reality game designed in this project includes a cartoonish snowy environment and some snowmen which can be destroyed by gazing. This game leads to distraction as well as inducing the sense of cold, which are both effective for decreasing the dressing replacement pains.
